About Anna Karpinski Anna has lived in Poland, New York City, Texas, Toronto and Prince Edward Island. She has photographed and exhibited her work in each of these places. Working with traditional black & white film, Anna captures everyday moments filled with surprise, joy and a sense of foreboding. Like the carnivals she photographs, her images are a mixture of amusement and the bizarre. Her photographs have been published in the British Journal of Photography, The Globe & Mail, Now Magazine and The Buzz, an entertainment magazine in Charlottetown where Anna lives with her husband and daughter. A Good Summer, a book of Anna’s images was published by Acorn Press in 2008. Also a writer, Anna had a short story titled Morning Train published in Riptides: New Island Fiction in 2012.
